Sars-COV-2

Sars-COV-2

In 2019, a new coronavirus named SARS-CoV-2 was identified in Wuhan, China, and causes the disease called coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19). SARS-CoV-2 can survive on different surfaces for several hours (copper, cardboard) up to a few days (plastic and stainless steel), so environmental testing for SARS-CoV-2 can play a crucial role in the investigation of the Covid-19 outbreak and allow companies, individuals and state agencies to make appropriate decisions for public health.

The variability of samples in environmental and veterinary analysis, unlike human testing, requires the use of an artificial process control to monitor PCR inhibition and extraction yield. The kit is therefore designed to detect Intype IC RNA, a process control.

The kit consists of a high-quality RTqPCR enzyme mixture and two oligonucleotide mixtures that detect 2019-nCoV and Intype IC RNA respectively. The kit monitors the presence of 2019-nCoV in water, sewage, surfaces, fomites and the infectious state of animals:

    • Real-time PCR kit for the detection of the nCoV-19 specific N gene in environmental and veterinary samples.
    • Real-time PCR kit for the detection of the nCoV-19-specific RdRp gene in environmental and veterinary samples.
    • Real-time PCR kit for the detection of E pan-sarbeco in environmental and veterinary samples.
